Summer in Appeltern
Never before have there been so many new things to see in De Tuinen van Appeltern. The Trend- en Loungegardens, the National Perennial Garden and the Appeltern Gardens Festival have all been added at once; added to the more than 190 model gardens already in the park. We are celebrating both this development and the summer. Simply, unannounced, an added bonus during your summer visit.

October
October: the month of the garden
October is the best month for planting and replanting.
The Exclusief Geselecteerde Hoveniers, on hand in the garden advice centre every weekend throughout the year to answer your all questions, take a closer look at the most important points. Splitting plants, pruning and soil improvement. A different theme every week (see www.exclusiefgeselecteerd.nl). Free design sketches are available on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 October (advance registration required).
Halloween
Friday 29 and Saturday 30 October (evening)
Traditionally spooky in De Tuinen van Appeltern. The scary surprises and noises with strange figures around the park will startle cool kids or give them a fright.
November
Natural Winter Scene
As an alternative to the many Christmas shows and winter fairs, we would like to show you that your own garden has so very much more to offer than you realise. Throughout the park we will show you the beauty of plants in winter, of still lifes in pottery or on piles of wood, of Mother Nature’s own works of art, and the many valuable winter plants.
Final weekend
Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 November
The last weekend in 2010 that De Tuinen van Appeltern is open to the public. Together with you we would like to ‘celebrate’ the end of the garden season.
